Ivonne Malagon
A Bit About Me
​Ivonne Malagon was born in the vibrant city of Guanajuato dubbed the “Heart of Mexico”. As a Marketing and Fashion Studies student, she uses her background to bring authenticity to traditionally rigid industries
She has fostered a passion for reducing waste in the fashion industry and an interest in the human side of production as well as meeting the needs of all consumers, especially those in marginalized communities. It has led her to work on student cases for the National Retail Federation, Dick’s Sporting Goods, L’Oréal, and the Fashion Scholarship Fund. She continues to expand her knowledge of NFTs and how to move traditional retail brands forward toward new technologies and new customers. She offers retailers and marketers new perspectives as they wrestle with the many opportunities to improve sustainability, inclusion, and equity in the industry.
Ivonne is adept at conducting her own primary and secondary research to better understand new forms form of social commerce, the rapid rate of growth, the customer, and so much more. She has interned at Grey Lark Showroom, as a showroom assistant, and participated at national events like StyleMax. Ivonne is bringing her marketing knowledge to fashion and her fashion knowledge back to marketing making for a well-rounded education. Her dedication and attention to detail has made her a semifinalist for the National Retail Federation Next Generation Scholar Competition.
As an assistant track coach at her local park district, Ivonne displays excellent leadership that allows her to work extremely well with others. Her drive and determination help motivates young athletes through goal setting and team building. In her free time, Ivonne enjoys planning out her outfits and expanding her ever-growing Hello Kitty collection.
